Transportation Department
-
Our mission is to safely transport Wellsville School District children to and from school and extracurricular events as safely and comfortably as possible. Each year, professional district bus drivers travel a combined 250,000 plus miles. Our Department maintains over a 90% passing rate for NYS DOT, putting us in the top percentile of NYS Maintenance Programs.Bus Routes for the 2018-19 School Year have been posted. See the right-hand side for individual bus routes that are matched to your area of the school district. Bus routes include roads and approximate pick-up and drop-off times when the bus in on that road. Until a more confirmed pattern is established, please be at your stop at least 5 minutes prior to the time posted for your road. Bus drivers try to practice a "Same-Side" pick-up and drop-off when possible on each bus route. The Transportation Department requires that a parent/guardian/or known adult is present when children from the Elementary School are dropped off in the afternoons. If an adult is not present at the drop-off time, the child or children remain on the bus and are transported back to the Transportation Building at the end of the bus route. The Transportation Department will attempt to contact the parent or guardian to inform them that their child/children have been transported back to the Transportation Building for the parent or guardian to pick-up.
