Khan Academy is an organization on a mission to provide instructional opportunities for all students. All of the site's free resources are available to anyone. Teachers and students have access to all content, videos and resources offered by Khan Academy.
Khan Academy offers a world of skills to practice, with help along the way. Students can Practice math at their own pace with the adaptive assessment environment. Students can start at 1 + 1 and work their way into calculus or jump right into whatever topic needs some brushing up; each student upon first login take a pre-assessment to properly place them within the program.
Math problems are randomly generated, so students never run out of practice material. If they need a hint, every single problem can be broken down, step-by-step, with one click. If they need more help, they can always watch a related video.
Khan Academy is not just for developing and applying math content and skills! Khan’s library of content
covers math, science topics such as biology, chemistry, and physics, and even reaches into the humanities with playlists on finance and history.
Teachers can create classes and monitor each student’s progress. Teachers can access all of their students' data. You can get a summary of class performance as a whole or dive into a particular student's profile to figure out exactly which topics are problematic. This allows the teacher assign specific areas of content and skills based on student need. Khan Academy is a tool that provides independent learning and practice.
